My wife and I have been to Seven Dials on two occasions and loved the food and service both times. The London born chef and his American wife are the owners and very much hands-on and very friendly. Every dish that we have had has been outstanding. Many of the items are traditional British gastro pub selections, along with non-pub choices as well. We cannot wait to return.

Found this on Yelp. Kinda tucked away but well worth the effort! Went in for lunch and the BEST fish & chips ever. Not greasy with a good portion and it even came with " mushy " peas that I normally hate. These were great. My wife had shrimp & chorizo served on melon with basil. Excellent! Add a homemade toffee cake with fresh berries and whipped cream and we were stuffed. Great craft beers and wines. English owned and service fast and friendly. I'm coming back and bringing friends! What a great find!

I rarely give 5-star reviews but this place makes me wonder if I can somehow hack into yelp to give it seven stars. We must've come here more than a dozen times by now and have yet to be remotely disappointed. The food continues to be elegant, diverse, and surprising in the best sense of the word. Add to that an amazing wine and beer list and very friendly service. All that in an ambience that helps you relax at the end of a long day and for a price that will not break the bank, especially considering the quality of food you've just enjoyed. Seven Dials has delicious food that's only a little bit short of a five star rating. A few tweaks -- all to do with seasoning -- could really elevate this restaurant. Meal began with complimentary papadum. It was great, though I would have preferred it slightly less oily. We started with the foie gras from the charcuterie menu, which is served with really excellent toasted bread and a delicious fruit-based spread. The combination of these flavors together was nearly perfect, BUT - the foie gras was a bit too salty. Bone marrow was next, and it was cooked absolutely perfectly. Unlike the over-salted foie gras, the bone marrow needed a little more seasoning (or perhaps a spread similar to the one that came with the foie gras). Fish and chips were the best dish we tried. The fish and the fries were both perfectly cooked with exactly the right crispness. The flavors here were spot-on. If you come here, please make sure someone at the table orders fish and chips. There's a theme here -- food is always cooked exactly right, but small changes would make it perfect. Ultimately, this is all nitpicking. The food is wonderful, and I look forward to returning and trying everything on the menu. Another plus - service was very attentive.

My brother introduced to the goodness that is The Seven Dials. I arrived in Miami for some family time. On,our way home from the airport, we stopped off here for lunch...and I am so glad we did! The Seven Dials is tucked away on a side street in Coral Gables. There's no sign other than a chalkboard with the daily specials. The place is small but comfortable, and it was packed for lunch, which was a good sign! We ordered the amazing fish and chips and these risotto-mushroom balls ( I can't remember the name of the dish, but it was so incredibly good)! I don't like mushrooms, but I could've eaten a million of those! I can't wait to return to Miami so I can have more Seven Dials goodness! Here's hoping this place stays around for a really long time!

The reviews on Yelp really sold me on this place. But I have to say it was a huge disappointment. It started with the glass of wine for $15 and the shortest pour I have ever seen (they only serve 5 oz of wine). My wife had the duck confit, the dish had beet risotto which was not very good, the Duck itself was subpar. I had the broccoli salad and the priir priir wings. Salad was better than the wings, but that's not saying much. I've had better wings @ 7-11. Wings were small and very bland. By the time I got the bill & saw $82 before tip, I swore I would never come back for a very subpar meal. The ambiance is nice, but the location is hard to find.

I really regret not writing this review a little earlier because I can't remember everything I had here. What I do remember is that all of it was incredible. To start we had a special which was a proper sausage that was battered and fried and served with a delicious dipping sauce. For something that sounds like it would sit in your stomach like a rock, it was surprisingly not too heavy - particularly because the breading was nice and light. It seems it was breaded more for flavor and texture than for full coverage. For my meal I had a duck confit dish that was sort of like a deconstructed bahn-mi sandwich. It was served on a piece of thick hearty toast, and covered with pickled vegetables. It was somehow both rich and light at the same time, and delicious. I'm almost positive I had the bread pudding - as I can't go anywhere that has bread pudding and not order it. I know I had one recently that I loved and I'm pretty sure it was the one at Seven Dials. On top of the fact that everything on the menu looks delicious (and the few things I got to sample lived up to my expectations and then some) - the actual restaurant is cute and cozy, the music is good, the service is polite and attentive, and they have a really nice selection of craft beers. Really, you can't ask for a better experience.

Low key and unsuspecting and small, which was not what I expected. I wish the music was a bit louder. Their menu is described on a series of blackboards on the walls, and not so much on the menu they hand you. They work with local and organic sources, which is where most of the food on the boards comes from. The bartender assumed I'd be a regular and suggested I take advantage of the board options. Great service. Good beers on draft. ALL local which I respect and like. They had a variety that seems to rotate frequently. Vegan options were virtually non-existent which is disappointing, but I know they could do well with the flavor combos they are presenting. On special hoisin ginger wings were good but needed more sauce. The Gorgonzola soup was rich (and small) and my friend thought it was delicious. The truffled mushrooms made it, for sure. This is a place for decadence. Small portions of lots of flavor.

I first ventured upon The Seven Dials after seeing its Yelp rating, and I'm happy to say it more than deserves every star. I came back the other day after a long break in between and am glad to report that I still feel the same way as I did the first time. We were happy to find that there were plenty of open tables on a Friday night, and a parking spot right in front of the establishment! It's street parking so you do have to pay, but we probably could've gotten away without doing so (had a clear view of my car from my seat). I ordered one of my favorite light fruity ciders - Rekorderlig Passion Fruit, while my boyfriend chose a Miami Weiss draft. We received the delicious complimentary papadum and chutney appetizer (essentially refined chips and dip..) and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the entree, I ordered chicken 'kiev' - unsure if the single quotations were to denote a similarity to chicken kiev as it certainly was not chicken kiev but a variation on the ingredients - and it was wonderful. My boyfriend had the proper sausage which I sampled and also loved. The cooking is just so precise that the flavor emanates post-swallow from every bite. I really do not know how one can integrate the taste so well, but the chef here does. We finished on the bread pudding that I previously raved about from my first time. It may not have been the best choice as it was another rich dessert on two extremely rich entrees - I was stuffed! Either way, we both left very happy and with an expanded culinary appreciation.

What a great place! I don't know what took me so long to visit this place but it certainly did not disappoint. We arrived on a Friday night and the place was packed. It is located on Minorca and inside the decoration is contemporary and cozy. We ordered the eggplant appetizer which consisted of grilled eggplant on a toast with goat cheese shavings. Then it was followed by the bone marrow which was my favorite dish of the night, third we had the duck confit on a bed of mashed potatoes which was also great, crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. Last, the bread pudding was just delicious. Overall, the service and food were excellent. I plan to return again soon to try more dishes.

Came here for dinner on a Monday night, restaurant is cozy and has a nice bar area which had some business men who by the looks of it frequent here after work. The restaurant itself has about 6-7 tables. We ordered the spicy English mustard and honey wings from the specials board as an appetizer. We were brought some flat lentil bread with tapenade and yogurt dip, it was very good, the tapenade had a mild kick to it, I enjoyed the taste paired with the yogurt. The wings were good, they didn't have a strong mustard taste and they weren't overly saucy. I chose the fish and chips as my entree. It was great! The fish was not heavily breaded or greasy, perfectly crunchy and fresh. The fries were seasoned and delicious. For dessert we had chosen another board special, strawberries and honey cream with sherry. It was good but on the small side and I couldn't really taste any liquor. We ended up also asking for the bread pudding, we absolutely loved it! I will be going back again and again for it. Look forward to returning and trying different menu items.

For now, a low key neighborhood gem; however, it's destined to become Coral Gables' next big thing. It's a cozy British gastropub with seats for seemingly no more than 50. We walked in Saturday evening and were told all the tables had been reserved, so took a seat at the bar. It was plenty big enough to hold all of our plates and I loved being able to peek into the small kitchen to see a bit of the behind-the-scenes action. The menu is small but everything sounded delicious. The chef is British (previously of nearby The Local) so you'll find eclectic fare that's unlike other restos in the area. Don't forget to take a look at the chalkboard with specials. We actually missed out on that but they probably would have just made our decision all the more difficult. Whenever I see bone marrow on a menu, l order it. This was some of the best I have had. The bone marrow was thick enough to cut through with a knife to savor every morsel of it. It was accompanied with Zak the Baker bread with some sesame seeds on top. I was in heaven. Before that, we were served complimentary Indian papadum with three dipping sauces. As we continued to eat through it, all the sauces blended together and it was great. Definitely beats bread and butter any day. For our mains, we tried the fish and chips and local Proper Sausages with potatoes. The piece of fish was huge, served piping hot and cooked perfectly. You really don't see fish and chips on very many menus around here and to be honest, I don't want to unless it tastes as good as this. The chips weren't thick but small, crispy and addicting. Now for the sausages, I have actually never had Proper Sausages so was eager to try! They were juicy, flavorful and the serving was plentiful (two) so I actually took one home for leftovers. We were too full for dessert but the options sounded heavenly (especially the bread pudding). With a full charcuterie menu, lunch options and more, you can bet I'll be back soon.

Where to begin? This place is awesome. My gf and I are frequent patrons, having gone probably 20 times since it first opened a few months ago. Andrew Gilbert. the owner and head chef, puts a lot of effort and love into his food -- and it shows. Every time we've been here, the food has been consistently delicious. If you're going to visit, make sure you try the fish and chips -- best in town (Elwood's who?). Also, the coffee is underrated. The restaurant tends to focus on local vendors, which is great. Do yourself a favor and go off the beaten path to find this Gable gem.

This place is the real deal. The bone marrow toast, butternut squash soup, local wynwood porter and night's special: watermelon salad were all excellent. But the biggest draw for me was the fish and chips. I wasn't in the mood for them, but the pictures on Yelp showed promise and like buffalo wings, if there is a possibility they will be good, that's what I order. After so many disappointments, to actually eat a piece of fish cooked right - I wasn't prepared. I had to stop chewing, pick my napkin off my lap and wipe my eyes and nose. I am from New England and these fish and chips were among the best, if not the best I have ever had. Also the mushy peas were bright green fresh, lightly steamed and smashed with what tasted like parsley and dill for a light, refreshing contrast to the oily fish and chips. And the fries, although thinner cut than I normally prefer, were cooked to crispy perfection in a very high quality oil I cannot identify. This place skips the fancy furniture, yes I'm talking to you La Tagliatella, and focuses on the things that matter: the food. Our pair of tag team servers seemed perhaps a little inexperienced, but you could sense the effort they were making was real - we never waited more than 2 minutes for anything. All the other visitors seemed very happy with their dishes and you could sense excitement as a new local spot might just succeed in our city beautiful.

Small spot with amazing food. Short menu list (=just the right amount) with specials on the chalkboard. The fish and chips with pea mush was spot on; I wouldn't have changed anything about it. I tried a bite of the sausage with apple chutney as well which was overflowing with just the right amount of flavor. Orgasmic bread pudding. Even the fries were spectacular. Just moved here and thrilled to have this spot close by. Highly recommend for a casual night to treat yourself.

Alrighty - so before going to Seven Dials I checked the reviews and when selecting my meal all I could think about was the previous diners talking about the fish & chips ---- you want to know why they all mentioned them? That's because they were dee-lish! The other people at my table all enjoyed their meals: broccoli salad, chicken, pork special all yummy. Two things I would mention - the soup is priced at a bowl size but served as a cup, and our server was a little awkward pushy - maybe she is trying to be hipster but it did stick out in the overall experience on the place. I'll def go back and order fish and chips again though because that was the best part.

Finally the reviews are right! This is a great small restaurant. The place isn't that big which makes you feel very comfortable while sitting back and sipping on a cold one. We got the bone marrow, which was awesome! I had to try the fish and chips.... It was great as well! The beers are a lil expensive, and the food is a lil pricey too. But considering what this lil place probably has to pay to be open in the Gables.... It is understandable. I will be going back to this spot everytime I'm staying in Coral Gables. This hidden gem is everything you'd want from a pub and more. The service is frienldy. It's warm and inviting. Plus, you can bring the whole family. I dined with a 9 month old and a ten year old. No complaints, no groans from anyone! Of course, these are very well behaved children. If you've got hellions, that's a whole other bag of chips. Now the food, the oh so delicious food. We had the following: fried olives, bone marrow, fish & chips, burger special, and duck confit. Oh, and they bring an amazing flat bread & chutney to the table instead of a bread basket. Fantastic to find this place in the neighborhood. Cute and little, with an attractive staff. Tasty English food. The spicy chips and chutney is a nice welcome when you sit. We had the tomato soup and tikka wings to start after that - the wings were just what I was craving. Indian spice without a full blown commitment to curry. And the soup with a cheesy, small little roll in the center was a rare find in such tropical climates. Don't be fooled - the hangar steak is not a hanger steak. It's more like a tenderloin, and was seriously drool worthy. I'm not a super carnivore, but I ate every bite. BF got the proper sausages with au gratin potatoes - incredible, but I preferred mine. Wish we would have sampled dessert! Will definitely be back.

Smallish space, like a pub, in the least British of all cities, Coral Gables. That didn't deter their ability to serve excellent pub food inspired by any good "public house" in UK. I went there for lunch recently and certainly did not have to compete for a table. It's a few blocks away from the bustling Miracle Mile, but I still would have expected more customers. I had the best fish and chips in recent memory, including a trip to London and England within the last 12 months. This fish and chips was perfectly done, a good and large piece of white fish, perfectly battered and fried just right. The chips (french fries to us yanks) were also perfect, tasty, hot. I splashed both with vinegar and the tartar sauce dip for the fish was a great compliment. Wash it all down with a beer, close your eyes and well...you just can't escape Coral Gables, but it's close.
This place is delicious, I loved everything about tonight. Great service, great ambiance, and amazing food. Me and my husband are really picky but trust me it's really really good. I specially enjoy the bone marrow and the bread pudding. My husband love the confit de canard ( duck confit ) and the octopus. We will definitely be back, I think The Seven Dials will see a lot of us. Thank you, Merci.

I highly recommend 7 Dials. The staff, the owner, his wife are all excellent people and great to talk with. The food is fabulous - each dish is well thought out, served with appropriate and creative pairings, and most importantly, delicious. The menu has some items that are constant, however, many of the items on the menu often change, giving you a good balance between things you're used to and new dishes to try. Lastly, the beer and wine menu are also very good. New drafts are introduced every few weeks.
I don't want to write this review because it'll tip people on to frequent this untainted treasure but... I love this place! -the bone marrow is so effing good. It's big, it's gorgeous and goes PERFECT with Zak's bread. - their Fish n' chips unapologetically SNATCHED Churchill's wig and took a steaming dump on their new management's attempt to reinvent the wheel (NA-NA-NA-NAAAA!) -it's dark and moody in here. -it's not crowded or annoying, unless you happen to catch the early bird diners yapping away and staring at your food like Neanderthals) If the food or environment changes I will curse the bar food gods for writing this review. Don't ruin our favorite little spot.

After living in the Gables for 10 years, eating out all the time and now living in the Shores, working in Wynwood and w a toddler, there is little I venture to the Gables for... until now. My husband is a huge lover of foie gras and when I heard from a co-worker that the Chef @ Seven DIals makes his own terrinne, we had to try it. To explain how amazing it was just 2 weeks later when I asked my husband what he wanted for his bday, he said the foie from Seven Dials! and Yes, I ordered some, picked it up and gifted it to him. Rather than getting major brownie points, he was disappointed I hadn't ordered more! We've actually gone now 4 times in a bit over 1 month and can say we will continue coming back for more. His fried olives are a surprisingly simple yet memorable starter. Charcuterrie done right and with house pickled veggies to boot! The fish & chips were spot on. Crispy on the outside and flaky inside. The mushy peas were spectacular. I'd actually come again for more of both. One of the biggest surprises for me was the Chicken Kiev. I DO NOT order chicken at restaurants, but a friend got it and after one bite, I wanted to come back and have my own. It was seriously the best chicken i've ever tasted. Perfectly seasoned and delightful. The service was friendly and attentive. My only complaint about the Seven DIals is that they dont have a Miami Shores or Midtown location. One can only dream!

This is simply an excellent small gastro pub with consistently good chow regardless of your choice. The specials have great variety and every item on the standard menu will keep you coming back for more. Try the fish and chips and you will understand why at least one person in your group needs to order this just so everyone can grab a bite. I got a spicy grilled chicken dinner which was juicy and had a very nice kick. The lamb shank special is totally worthy, and the burgers with a slab of bacon happiness are always thick and juicy. We usually get a cheese plate (love their English cheddar) with a few chunks of toasted Zaks bread. They also have an original selection of local draft beers that really shows off Miami's new microbrewery talents. The wine selection is kind of eclectic, but it shows that they put real thought into the list. And do save room for dessert. Pricing is reasonable and the service is really friendly. Maybe this shows my age, but I also really appreciate that 4 people can have a conversation over dinner without having to shout at one another. You can leave a reservation request on their phone mail and they will get back in touch to confirm.

Want to venture to a great, authentic British gastropub? This is the place to get just that. My favorite evening meals out are at places with a great beverage selection, and well executed, creative dishes. This fits the bill. The lentil crisps with salsa and guac were a great way to perk the appetite. The fact that I can actually order marrow on the menu was a huge plus, and it was delicious and satisfying-not to mention that the sesame toast that came with it was awesome. The fois gras appetizer was outstanding-I highly suggest it. The multiple flavor profiles of fois, sweet jam, grassy sprout, with buttery toast was well balanced. For dessert we had bread pudding-the top was crunchy and the creme anglaise wasn't heavy or too sweet. Overall a great place to hang out, have a beer, and share a meal with friends.

I don't normally give out 5 stars (unless it's the Eating House), but I would gladly give 6 stars if I could for the Seven Dials. Been here twice so far, for dinner only, and had a great time on each visit. So far I've had one of their burgers, which was the special of the day, and the bone marrow which was excellent. On my recent trip I tried the Fish & Chips (which sold out on my first visit). So far, it's my favorite from their selection, but there's still lots to try. Also had a special appettizer which was several thick sourdough cuts with an avocodo spread on top. Very healthy and light. The place has a pretty good beer selection too, using lots of local craft breweries. If you walk out of this place without trying the bread pudding dessert you are truly lost. One of the most delicious desserts in Miami...or at least the Gables area. It's worth the trip alone. Staff is friendly, seating is tight but wait times aren't bad, plus there's room at the bar. It's in a very deserted location so parking is not a problem. Hopefully they don't get TOO popular that it becomes filled with the pretentious crowd.

A friend invited us to try a "new gastropub in our hood." And it was a great local treasure that sits cozy on a Gables side street - away from the city lights! We sat at the bar and watched some folks line up outside all of which waited patiently for their turn at this gem of an eatery. The food was delicious, the service fabulous, and the local craft beer selection was great. Our group started with the charcuterrie with Zak's bread and the brocolli salad - awesome. I had the tomato soup that had a cheese ball as a crouton carefully dunked in the soup - absolutely delicious! For entrees, we ate the fish and chips and the special burger - perfect on both! The fish and chips were accompanied by smashed peas. They offer the malt vinegar or lemon slices which go perfect with the Corvina which was breaded not too thick, not greasy. We shared the bread pudding for dessert which was delectable and the toffy which I did not taste by my friend's son gobbled silently. They offer six craft beers on tap most of which are locals with some others in bottles and a very decent wine selection. One of the owners minds the bar and does so impeccably. A great find which, I hope, stays a secret for a little longer....

A great place. I had the steak pie special at $16, my companions the fish n chips at $15. They make up for it with the beers. My Wynwood IPA (a great local beer) was $8. Four of us shared a sticky toffee pudding ($8). DC lamented that her chips weren't quite perfect, but griping about french fries (excuse my language) doesn't do much for me. Good service. Fairly small space, so when this gets discovered by those looking for reasonable-priced dining options in Coral Gables, I'll bet this will fill up fast.

LUNCH REVIEW! After seeing the pictures of the food I was very excited to come in. The place is a spinoff of a British Pub in coral gables. Note to everyone the lunch menu is basic soup, salad, sandwiches. They do have specials - make sure you ask or check the board. No appetizers, no bread to munch on if your hunger. It's more of an executive lunch. I had the pork sausages sandwich with red cabbage and my mom had the chicken banh mi. The food was very tasty but it did take a while to come out when there was only another table having lunch. I suggested to the waitress they should serve popcorn or pretzels while people wait for their food when they get busy. She completely dismissed the suggestion and said people at lunch don't want it and that they provide lentil chips for dinner. When dessert came around I was waiting for her to go into details of the different desserts and all I got was "the bread pudding is good" and "the chocolate ale is rich". Geez thanks In conclusion, this place has potential with a few changes. I recommend you add a small plate section. It's a great way for people to share and try out more of your cuisine. Second, I highly think your staff needs to be more in tune with your menu and a better explanation of the plates. More enthusiasm since your selling me a sandwich. I am willing to come back for dinner and try the bone marrow and the roasted eggplant.

This is definitely my new favorite gastropub. I was very disappointed when I visited my formally "Local" haunt only to find the the food and service had taken a nose-dive. After lots of inquiring I found my favorite gastropub chef in the Gables (Andrew Gilbert) and it turns out that he opened his own place--THE SEVEN DIALS. The Seven Dials has some of the best food in Coral Gables and certainly the best craft beer around. This place is very small and quaint but has a sweet amount of charm. Very low-key. The service was quite good and as long as Chef Andrew Gilbert is in charge, this place will remain at the top of my list for good Gables eats and brews. Special shout out to Hugo Perez in the kitchen who also contributes magnificently to the meals. A+ for The Seven Dials. Favorite Beer is the Kentucky Bourbon Ale with a Seven Dials Burger.

Our first time a week or so ago we had the jerk chicken and blue cheese burger, both were delicious. Really nice selection of beer both on draft and bottled. Tonight it is fish & chips, local romaine & arugula Caesar salad with hen of the wood mushrooms and a Brie burger. My girlfriend and I share everything. Very laid back atmosphere and definitely worth visiting! My new favorite restaurant.

The bone marrow is unbelievably tasty for an appetizer. The duck confit with mashed potatoes was the best I've had in a long time locally. We also got the fish and chips that was so flaky and tender inside! There are amazing beers and the sticky toffee cake ending the evening perfectly!

My family and I came here for the first time for our final meal of 2014. We were super satisfied and happy with the choice. This place is very special to begin with the ambiance us very cozy and they play great pub music. The food is delicious... Really delicious. We started with two of the appetizer specials. We had the terriaki glazed lamb ribs and the brie pot with cranberry. Both were amazing. Then for the meals:we ordered the fish and chips, the proper sausage, the burger a ND the chicken Kiev. All were so good. I tried them all. My favorite was the proper sausage. It was delectable. For dessert we had the chocolate ale cake and the bread pudding. The chocolate cake was good but the bread pudding was amazing. We had such a great time and the service was awesome. I only wonder how it was not packed. I don't think this secret will last too long. The prices are also extremely reasonable.

I had the burger that was perfectly cooked and juicy. My friend had the fish and chips and she loved it. My first trip to London was in 1998. At the time I was a broke college student and all I could afford was fish and chip. Albeit a rather simple dish, I came to have an appreciation for it and thus the evolution of British Cuisine. I have been to England a few times since and I must say I was skeptical when I heard of a British pub in of all places Miami. Miami has had its share of disappointments when it comes to restaurants billing themselves as authentic representations of foreign cuisine. All that said, The Seven Dials delivers in more ways than one We have been to The Seven Dials a few times. Besides having undoubtedly the best Fish and Chip in Miami, other standard dishes take us on a trip over the pond. Make note the specials may be the way to go as they are not always on the menu. Their charcuterie plate is complete with the right condiment to match. The duck jerky is made in house and it is to die for. The foie gras torchon is a healthy size and extremely tasty. Among the specials to note are the pork chop. It is cooked perfectly with a jus and vegetables to match. Today I had the lamb shank with the root vegetables and it delivered. I gave a small bite to most at the table and it was a hit. I barely wanted to share and they barely wanted to let go of my dish. My mother who is not an easy eater loved their steamed salmon. Desserts were as good as always. I had the Sticky Toffee Cake and my brother had the chocolate cake. We were disappointed the bread pudding was not available, but having tried it before I can tell you it is worth the trip down to this restaurant. All in all, Andy, Chef Owner, has a gem here. The Seven Dials is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in Miami. I would recommend it without hesitation.

We really enjoyed this little place. It's new and has a simple but creative menu. Everything we ordered was very well prepared and tasty from heirloom tomato salad to the duck confit and mashed potatoes with roasted grapes. My wife had roasted bone marrow and tomato soup. Bread pudding and English tea ice cream for dessert was very good too. The servers were attentive and pleasant and we spoke with the owner on the way out. He's in a tough location but I have no doubt fellow yelpers will find him. Nice job all around.

Yum! The menu is small, but the specials are always interesting. The food is fresh, delish and artfully prepared. The chicken is incredibly flavorful as is the pasta special that is made with marmite. The place is small and comfortable- very welcoming. currently- only beer and wine - and the selections are a little odd and not great. That is my only gripe. The service is friendly and efficient with the owner chef and his wife working front and center. It is really nice to see a truly local place with such good food.

The short version is that this may be a nice restaurant for the average person but if you have allergies or any dietary concerns I would stay away. This is the long version for those interested: We are always interested in independent restaurants and try and support them, especially if they espouse local products. The problem is that albeit the product that this restaurant serves is decent, you don't know what you are being served and there are very limited options for non meat eaters. The staff is not well trained and has no idea what is in the food. Even those cooking in the kitchen do not know what the ingredients are and lie to you when they do not know. I have many allergies and we went there several time and every time I got sick afterward despite my asking for ingredients. The last time we went I specifically asked if the sausage they serve -from Proper Sausage in Miami, had gluten. The owner chef was not there then and the waiter went to the kitchen came back and told me the sausage had not gluten. In the meanwhile I had called the owner of Proper Sausage and he told me that all but two of his sausages had gluten -and they were not the ones served at the Seven Dials. Even after that I would have not written a poor review though as I know these can seriously affect a business. I message the owner in Facebook and left him what I thought was a supportive message. But after more than two month that message has gone answered. So if you have allergies or like to know the exact ingredients in your food: I would not recommend you visit this restaurant. I consider restaurants that do not take allergies seriously a health hazard. If you lean towards veggies or going out with vegetarian friends: Again this may not be the restaurant for you. Best. I am also sharing the message I sent the owner on FB. So I am not trying to do this review anonymously. I am hoping this will raise his awareness as to the seriousness of knowing the ingredients in the food and allergies. "Some feedback: We believe in your concept and love your food and really would like you to succeed. In this spirit, I wanted to write with some feedback. No stiff upper lip here IMHO I believe that you can improve the odds of succeeding long term with better training of your staff in general and greater sensitivity to dietary needs and preferences to succeed. Why do I say that? I have recently figured out that I am allergic to gluten after being sick for a long time (I also have other allergies). My experience with the better restaurants is that they are very attentive to such health issues (and liability problems) and will send the chef to the table often time or get a waiter to get detailed information from the chef. Our previous experience was the the waiter (a male waiter that is still working there) has not much understanding and knowledge of the menu. The waitress tonight was more knowledgeable and tried just as hard but the kitchen staff was not very helpful. To give you an example, the answer from the kitchen came back saying that Proper Sausages had no gluten. I had in the meanwhile called the store and the answer was that YES - they all have gluten minus the lamb and chorizo (these give you a simple and tasty gluten free option to carry BTW). I was also offered soy sauce as gluten free -when much soy (except Tamari) has wheat in it. I did not want to spoil my family and friend's fun but before the evening was over my nose was runny and now I have massive tummy pain. The other concern is for vegetarians and vegans that come with us and we are having to drag them over. I am hoping you can finalize a partnership with Verde Garden and start getting some of their veggies. The season has started and they already have lots of fresh local goodies. If you are also interested I can also connect you with an 83 year old farmer that does not spray and sells his avocado and other beautiful produce for a song. I am also happy to provide you with a list of gluten containing products /gluten free products if that helps - but fresh meats, beans, quinoa, millet, rice are simple and obvious choices. Best."

My wife and I have been to Seven Dials on two occasions and loved the food and service both times. The London born chef and his American wife are the owners and very much hands-on and very friendly. Every dish that we have had has been outstanding. Many of the items are traditional British gastro pub selections, along with non-pub choices as well. We cannot wait to return.

Found this on Yelp. Kinda tucked away but well worth the effort! Went in for lunch and the BEST fish & chips ever. Not greasy with a good portion and it even came with " mushy " peas that I normally hate. These were great. My wife had shrimp & chorizo served on melon with basil. Excellent! Add a homemade toffee cake with fresh berries and whipped cream and we were stuffed. Great craft beers and wines. English owned and service fast and friendly. I'm coming back and bringing friends! What a great find!

Great find, the owners served us at the bar and the food was flawless. Get the fish and chips. The bone marrow was also good, but I like it a little more scorched. The ceviche with clams was a bit different but fresh and delicious.

I rarely give 5-star reviews but this place makes me wonder if I can somehow hack into yelp to give it seven stars. We must've come here more than a dozen times by now and have yet to be remotely disappointed. The food continues to be elegant, diverse, and surprising in the best sense of the word. Add to that an amazing wine and beer list and very friendly service. All that in an ambience that helps you relax at the end of a long day and for a price that will not break the bank, especially considering the quality of food you've just enjoyed. Seven Dials has delicious food that's only a little bit short of a five star rating. A few tweaks -- all to do with seasoning -- could really elevate this restaurant. Meal began with complimentary papadum. It was great, though I would have preferred it slightly less oily. We started with the foie gras from the charcuterie menu, which is served with really excellent toasted bread and a delicious fruit-based spread. The combination of these flavors together was nearly perfect, BUT - the foie gras was a bit too salty. Bone marrow was next, and it was cooked absolutely perfectly. Unlike the over-salted foie gras, the bone marrow needed a little more seasoning (or perhaps a spread similar to the one that came with the foie gras). Fish and chips were the best dish we tried. The fish and the fries were both perfectly cooked with exactly the right crispness. The flavors here were spot-on. If you come here, please make sure someone at the table orders fish and chips. There's a theme here -- food is always cooked exactly right, but small changes would make it perfect. Ultimately, this is all nitpicking. The food is wonderful, and I look forward to returning and trying everything on the menu. Another plus - service was very attentive.

My brother introduced to the goodness that is The Seven Dials. I arrived in Miami for some family time. On,our way home from the airport, we stopped off here for lunch...and I am so glad we did! The Seven Dials is tucked away on a side street in Coral Gables. There's no sign other than a chalkboard with the daily specials. The place is small but comfortable, and it was packed for lunch, which was a good sign! We ordered the amazing fish and chips and these risotto-mushroom balls ( I can't remember the name of the dish, but it was so incredibly good)! I don't like mushrooms, but I could've eaten a million of those! I can't wait to return to Miami so I can have more Seven Dials goodness! Here's hoping this place stays around for a really long time!

The reviews on Yelp really sold me on this place. But I have to say it was a huge disappointment. It started with the glass of wine for $15 and the shortest pour I have ever seen (they only serve 5 oz of wine). My wife had the duck confit, the dish had beet risotto which was not very good, the Duck itself was subpar. I had the broccoli salad and the priir priir wings. Salad was better than the wings, but that's not saying much. I've had better wings @ 7-11. Wings were small and very bland. By the time I got the bill & saw $82 before tip, I swore I would never come back for a very subpar meal. The ambiance is nice, but the location is hard to find.

I really regret not writing this review a little earlier because I can't remember everything I had here. What I do remember is that all of it was incredible. To start we had a special which was a proper sausage that was battered and fried and served with a delicious dipping sauce. For something that sounds like it would sit in your stomach like a rock, it was surprisingly not too heavy - particularly because the breading was nice and light. It seems it was breaded more for flavor and texture than for full coverage. For my meal I had a duck confit dish that was sort of like a deconstructed bahn-mi sandwich. It was served on a piece of thick hearty toast, and covered with pickled vegetables. It was somehow both rich and light at the same time, and delicious. I'm almost positive I had the bread pudding - as I can't go anywhere that has bread pudding and not order it. I know I had one recently that I loved and I'm pretty sure it was the one at Seven Dials. On top of the fact that everything on the menu looks delicious (and the few things I got to sample lived up to my expectations and then some) - the actual restaurant is cute and cozy, the music is good, the service is polite and attentive, and they have a really nice selection of craft beers. Really, you can't ask for a better experience.

Low key and unsuspecting and small, which was not what I expected. I wish the music was a bit louder. Their menu is described on a series of blackboards on the walls, and not so much on the menu they hand you. They work with local and organic sources, which is where most of the food on the boards comes from. The bartender assumed I'd be a regular and suggested I take advantage of the board options. Great service. Good beers on draft. ALL local which I respect and like. They had a variety that seems to rotate frequently. Vegan options were virtually non-existent which is disappointing, but I know they could do well with the flavor combos they are presenting. On special hoisin ginger wings were good but needed more sauce. The Gorgonzola soup was rich (and small) and my friend thought it was delicious. The truffled mushrooms made it, for sure. This is a place for decadence. Small portions of lots of flavor.

I first ventured upon The Seven Dials after seeing its Yelp rating, and I'm happy to say it more than deserves every star. I came back the other day after a long break in between and am glad to report that I still feel the same way as I did the first time. We were happy to find that there were plenty of open tables on a Friday night, and a parking spot right in front of the establishment! It's street parking so you do have to pay, but we probably could've gotten away without doing so (had a clear view of my car from my seat). I ordered one of my favorite light fruity ciders - Rekorderlig Passion Fruit, while my boyfriend chose a Miami Weiss draft. We received the delicious complimentary papadum and chutney appetizer (essentially refined chips and dip..) and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the entree, I ordered chicken 'kiev' - unsure if the single quotations were to denote a similarity to chicken kiev as it certainly was not chicken kiev but a variation on the ingredients - and it was wonderful. My boyfriend had the proper sausage which I sampled and also loved. The cooking is just so precise that the flavor emanates post-swallow from every bite. I really do not know how one can integrate the taste so well, but the chef here does. We finished on the bread pudding that I previously raved about from my first time. It may not have been the best choice as it was another rich dessert on two extremely rich entrees - I was stuffed! Either way, we both left very happy and with an expanded culinary appreciation.

What a great place! I don't know what took me so long to visit this place but it certainly did not disappoint. We arrived on a Friday night and the place was packed. It is located on Minorca and inside the decoration is contemporary and cozy. We ordered the eggplant appetizer which consisted of grilled eggplant on a toast with goat cheese shavings. Then it was followed by the bone marrow which was my favorite dish of the night, third we had the duck confit on a bed of mashed potatoes which was also great, crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. Last, the bread pudding was just delicious. Overall, the service and food were excellent. I plan to return again soon to try more dishes.

Came here for dinner on a Monday night, restaurant is cozy and has a nice bar area which had some business men who by the looks of it frequent here after work. The restaurant itself has about 6-7 tables. We ordered the spicy English mustard and honey wings from the specials board as an appetizer. We were brought some flat lentil bread with tapenade and yogurt dip, it was very good, the tapenade had a mild kick to it, I enjoyed the taste paired with the yogurt. The wings were good, they didn't have a strong mustard taste and they weren't overly saucy. I chose the fish and chips as my entree. It was great! The fish was not heavily breaded or greasy, perfectly crunchy and fresh. The fries were seasoned and delicious. For dessert we had chosen another board special, strawberries and honey cream with sherry. It was good but on the small side and I couldn't really taste any liquor. We ended up also asking for the bread pudding, we absolutely loved it! I will be going back again and again for it. Look forward to returning and trying different menu items.

For now, a low key neighborhood gem; however, it's destined to become Coral Gables' next big thing. It's a cozy British gastropub with seats for seemingly no more than 50. We walked in Saturday evening and were told all the tables had been reserved, so took a seat at the bar. It was plenty big enough to hold all of our plates and I loved being able to peek into the small kitchen to see a bit of the behind-the-scenes action. The menu is small but everything sounded delicious. The chef is British (previously of nearby The Local) so you'll find eclectic fare that's unlike other restos in the area. Don't forget to take a look at the chalkboard with specials. We actually missed out on that but they probably would have just made our decision all the more difficult. Whenever I see bone marrow on a menu, l order it. This was some of the best I have had. The bone marrow was thick enough to cut through with a knife to savor every morsel of it. It was accompanied with Zak the Baker bread with some sesame seeds on top. I was in heaven. Before that, we were served complimentary Indian papadum with three dipping sauces. As we continued to eat through it, all the sauces blended together and it was great. Definitely beats bread and butter any day. For our mains, we tried the fish and chips and local Proper Sausages with potatoes. The piece of fish was huge, served piping hot and cooked perfectly. You really don't see fish and chips on very many menus around here and to be honest, I don't want to unless it tastes as good as this. The chips weren't thick but small, crispy and addicting. Now for the sausages, I have actually never had Proper Sausages so was eager to try! They were juicy, flavorful and the serving was plentiful (two) so I actually took one home for leftovers. We were too full for dessert but the options sounded heavenly (especially the bread pudding). With a full charcuterie menu, lunch options and more, you can bet I'll be back soon.

Where to begin? This place is awesome. My gf and I are frequent patrons, having gone probably 20 times since it first opened a few months ago. Andrew Gilbert. the owner and head chef, puts a lot of effort and love into his food -- and it shows. Every time we've been here, the food has been consistently delicious. If you're going to visit, make sure you try the fish and chips -- best in town (Elwood's who?). Also, the coffee is underrated. The restaurant tends to focus on local vendors, which is great. Do yourself a favor and go off the beaten path to find this Gable gem.

This place is the real deal. The bone marrow toast, butternut squash soup, local wynwood porter and night's special: watermelon salad were all excellent. But the biggest draw for me was the fish and chips. I wasn't in the mood for them, but the pictures on Yelp showed promise and like buffalo wings, if there is a possibility they will be good, that's what I order. After so many disappointments, to actually eat a piece of fish cooked right - I wasn't prepared. I had to stop chewing, pick my napkin off my lap and wipe my eyes and nose. I am from New England and these fish and chips were among the best, if not the best I have ever had. Also the mushy peas were bright green fresh, lightly steamed and smashed with what tasted like parsley and dill for a light, refreshing contrast to the oily fish and chips. And the fries, although thinner cut than I normally prefer, were cooked to crispy perfection in a very high quality oil I cannot identify. This place skips the fancy furniture, yes I'm talking to you La Tagliatella, and focuses on the things that matter: the food. Our pair of tag team servers seemed perhaps a little inexperienced, but you could sense the effort they were making was real - we never waited more than 2 minutes for anything. All the other visitors seemed very happy with their dishes and you could sense excitement as a new local spot might just succeed in our city beautiful.

Small spot with amazing food. Short menu list (=just the right amount) with specials on the chalkboard. The fish and chips with pea mush was spot on; I wouldn't have changed anything about it. I tried a bite of the sausage with apple chutney as well which was overflowing with just the right amount of flavor. Orgasmic bread pudding. Even the fries were spectacular. Just moved here and thrilled to have this spot close by. Highly recommend for a casual night to treat yourself.

Alrighty - so before going to Seven Dials I checked the reviews and when selecting my meal all I could think about was the previous diners talking about the fish & chips ---- you want to know why they all mentioned them? That's because they were dee-lish! The other people at my table all enjoyed their meals: broccoli salad, chicken, pork special all yummy. Two things I would mention - the soup is priced at a bowl size but served as a cup, and our server was a little awkward pushy - maybe she is trying to be hipster but it did stick out in the overall experience on the place. I'll def go back and order fish and chips again though because that was the best part.

Finally the reviews are right! This is a great small restaurant. The place isn't that big which makes you feel very comfortable while sitting back and sipping on a cold one. We got the bone marrow, which was awesome! I had to try the fish and chips.... It was great as well! The beers are a lil expensive, and the food is a lil pricey too. But considering what this lil place probably has to pay to be open in the Gables.... It is understandable. I will be going back to this spot everytime I'm staying in Coral Gables. Help support a small restaurant... Give them a try, you won't regret it!

This hidden gem is everything you'd want from a pub and more. The service is frienldy. It's warm and inviting. Plus, you can bring the whole family. I dined with a 9 month old and a ten year old. No complaints, no groans from anyone! Of course, these are very well behaved children. If you've got hellions, that's a whole other bag of chips. Now the food, the oh so delicious food. We had the following: fried olives, bone marrow, fish & chips, burger special, and duck confit. Oh, and they bring an amazing flat bread & chutney to the table instead of a bread basket. Every single bite I had was better than the last. Needless to say, we will be back. Seven Dials is seventh heaven!

Fantastic to find this place in the neighborhood. Cute and little, with an attractive staff. Tasty English food. The spicy chips and chutney is a nice welcome when you sit. We had the tomato soup and tikka wings to start after that - the wings were just what I was craving. Indian spice without a full blown commitment to curry. And the soup with a cheesy, small little roll in the center was a rare find in such tropical climates. Don't be fooled - the hangar steak is not a hanger steak. It's more like a tenderloin, and was seriously drool worthy. I'm not a super carnivore, but I ate every bite. BF got the proper sausages with au gratin potatoes - incredible, but I preferred mine. Wish we would have sampled dessert! Will definitely be back.

The Seven Dials is simply a classic British gastropub. No qualms about it. I had the bone marrow along with the chowder and I have absolutely nothing bad to say. They have a nice local brew selection as well. I love that the owners are working with the staff, it gives the place a really local, friendly atmosphere. Smallish space, like a pub, in the least British of all cities, Coral Gables. That didn't deter their ability to serve excellent pub food inspired by any good "public house" in UK. I went there for lunch recently and certainly did not have to compete for a table. It's a few blocks away from the bustling Miracle Mile, but I still would have expected more customers. I had the best fish and chips in recent memory, including a trip to London and England within the last 12 months. This fish and chips was perfectly done, a good and large piece of white fish, perfectly battered and fried just right. The chips (french fries to us yanks) were also perfect, tasty, hot. I splashed both with vinegar and the tartar sauce dip for the fish was a great compliment. Wash it all down with a beer, close your eyes and well...you just can't escape Coral Gables, but it's close.

Loved this establishment! Such a chic and nice place to have some drinks and delish food! Definitely will be back. Went on a Saturday night with the hubby, and we both enjoyed everything about it. We had the bone marrow, the roasted eggplant, and the burger. Everything was on point and outstanding. My husband enjoyed two beers: Wells & Young Sticky Toffee Pudding Ale and the Hobgoblin. I had a nice glass of Rosé. Not to mention they give you some yummy complementary appetizer to start off.

Went here with my family on a Saturday evening. It's a small little bistro, on Minorca, away from the busier Miracle Mile. Small inside, so I wouldn't go with a big group without reservations. But it has a nice, comfy pub feel without feeling like a bar. For appetizers we all shared the following: - Duck jerky: this sounded so unique, I had to try it! It was tasty and chewy in a good way. -Tikka wings: Indian spiced wings with a good cucumber sauce. Could have been spicer, but a good pick - fried olives: a good accompaniment Entrees: -Fish and chips: I thought they did a great job! Not too breaded or oily and a nice size fillet. They also make their own fries which is great, too! Probably the best I've had in Miami. -Miami Seafood Chowder: tasty, but a small portion...order with something on the side. -Chicken Kiev: very tender and served with a nice cauliflower purée. Plenty of beer options and a decent wine selection, too. Worth checking out!

I highly recommend 7 Dials. The staff, the owner, his wife are all excellent people and great to talk with. The food is fabulous - each dish is well thought out, served with appropriate and creative pairings, and most importantly, delicious. The menu has some items that are constant, however, many of the items on the menu often change, giving you a good balance between things you're used to and new dishes to try. Lastly, the beer and wine menu are also very good. New drafts are introduced every few weeks.

You know that you have been somewhere spectacular when you can't wait to get home to review. I am always in search of new openings in my area so I immediately check it out. I had been wanting to go, but the menu was not very extensive and I kept on changing my mind when selecting a restaurant for dinner. Today was the same, but luckily there was a lane closure in the 836 so we had to make a detour and got off on 8 street. Since we had already missed our reservation and was passing by I decided lets give it a try. OMG so happy for the detour. Instead of the bread service, Papadum is served alongside chutney and guacamole. What a great change to the typical bread service. Chutney was delicious and paired beautifully with the Papadum. The restaurant is small so we had to wait in the bar. They have a great beer selection and a great iced tea which was infused with mint very refreshing. For starters we had the Bone Marrow. I always try the Bone Marrow wherever it's offered. This was hands down the best I have had. They were a good size and filled with delicious garlic, herbs and some sort of spice which tied all the flavors together harmoniously. For entrée we had the fish and chips and the proper sausage. The fish and chips which by the way I am not that much of a fan of was delicious. The fish was nice and flaky and not overly battered, perfection. The sausage was perfectly cooked, nice crunch on the outside and moist on the inside. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding. Another winner. Very excited on having another great place to come to in the Gables.

It's big, it's gorgeous and goes PERFECT with Zak's bread. - their Fish n' chips unapologetically SNATCHED Churchill's wig and took a steaming dump on their new management's attempt to reinvent the wheel (NA-NA-NA-NAAAA!) -it's dark and moody in here. -it's not crowded or annoying, unless you happen to catch the early bird diners yapping away and staring at your food like Neanderthals) If the food or environment changes I will curse the bar food gods for writing this review. Don't ruin our favorite little spot.

Great spot that was needed in the Gables. They have a small menu but everything we had was on point. We tried the bone marrow, they were cut lengthwise and went perfectly with the bread. We also ordered the fish and chips and I can fairly say they are up there with Churchills (before the new owners took over) and Ellwood's Pub. I will definitely be going back, maybe even tonight!

After living in the Gables for 10 years, eating out all the time and now living in the Shores, working in Wynwood and w a toddler, there is little I venture to the Gables for... until now. My husband is a huge lover of foie gras and when I heard from a co-worker that the Chef @ Seven DIals makes his own terrinne, we had to try it. To explain how amazing it was just 2 weeks later when I asked my husband what he wanted for his bday, he said the foie from Seven Dials! and Yes, I ordered some, picked it up and gifted it to him. Rather than getting major brownie points, he was disappointed I hadn't ordered more! We've actually gone now 4 times in a bit over 1 month and can say we will continue coming back for more. His fried olives are a surprisingly simple yet memorable starter. Charcuterrie done right and with house pickled veggies to boot! The fish & chips were spot on. Crispy on the outside and flaky inside. The mushy peas were spectacular. I'd actually come again for more of both. One of the biggest surprises for me was the Chicken Kiev. I DO NOT order chicken at restaurants, but a friend got it and after one bite, I wanted to come back and have my own. It was seriously the best chicken i've ever tasted. Perfectly seasoned and delightful. The service was friendly and attentive. My only complaint about the Seven DIals is that they dont have a Miami Shores or Midtown location. One can only dream!

This is simply an excellent small gastro pub with consistently good chow regardless of your choice. The specials have great variety and every item on the standard menu will keep you coming back for more. Try the fish and chips and you will understand why at least one person in your group needs to order this just so everyone can grab a bite. I got a spicy grilled chicken dinner which was juicy and had a very nice kick. The lamb shank special is totally worthy, and the burgers with a slab of bacon happiness are always thick and juicy. We usually get a cheese plate (love their English cheddar) with a few chunks of toasted Zaks bread. They also have an original selection of local draft beers that really shows off Miami's new microbrewery talents. The wine selection is kind of eclectic, but it shows that they put real thought into the list. And do save room for dessert. Pricing is reasonable and the service is really friendly. Maybe this shows my age, but I also really appreciate that 4 people can have a conversation over dinner without having to shout at one another. You can leave a reservation request on their phone mail and they will get back in touch to confirm.

Want to venture to a great, authentic British gastropub? This is the place to get just that. My favorite evening meals out are at places with a great beverage selection, and well executed, creative dishes. This fits the bill. The lentil crisps with salsa and guac were a great way to perk the appetite. The fact that I can actually order marrow on the menu was a huge plus, and it was delicious and satisfying-not to mention that the sesame toast that came with it was awesome. The fois gras appetizer was outstanding-I highly suggest it. The multiple flavor profiles of fois, sweet jam, grassy sprout, with buttery toast was well balanced. For dessert we had bread pudding-the top was crunchy and the creme anglaise wasn't heavy or too sweet. Overall a great place to hang out, have a beer, and share a meal with friends.

I don't normally give out 5 stars (unless it's the Eating House), but I would gladly give 6 stars if I could for the Seven Dials. Been here twice so far, for dinner only, and had a great time on each visit. So far I've had one of their burgers, which was the special of the day, and the bone marrow which was excellent. On my recent trip I tried the Fish & Chips (which sold out on my first visit). So far, it's my favorite from their selection, but there's still lots to try. Also had a special appettizer which was several thick sourdough cuts with an avocodo spread on top. Very healthy and light. The place has a pretty good beer selection too, using lots of local craft breweries. If you walk out of this place without trying the bread pudding dessert you are truly lost. One of the most delicious desserts in Miami...or at least the Gables area. It's worth the trip alone. Staff is friendly, seating is tight but wait times aren't bad, plus there's room at the bar. It's in a very deserted location so parking is not a problem. Hopefully they don't get TOO popular that it becomes filled with the pretentious crowd.

A friend invited us to try a "new gastropub in our hood." And it was a great local treasure that sits cozy on a Gables side street - away from the city lights! We sat at the bar and watched some folks line up outside all of which waited patiently for their turn at this gem of an eatery. The food was delicious, the service fabulous, and the local craft beer selection was great. Our group started with the charcuterrie with Zak's bread and the brocolli salad - awesome. I had the tomato soup that had a cheese ball as a crouton carefully dunked in the soup - absolutely delicious! For entrees, we ate the fish and chips and the special burger - perfect on both! The fish and chips were accompanied by smashed peas. They offer the malt vinegar or lemon slices which go perfect with the Corvina which was breaded not too thick, not greasy. We shared the bread pudding for dessert which was delectable and the toffy which I did not taste by my friend's son gobbled silently. They offer six craft beers on tap most of which are locals with some others in bottles and a very decent wine selection. One of the owners minds the bar and does so impeccably. A great find which, I hope, stays a secret for a little longer....

A great place. I had the steak pie special at $16, my companions the fish n chips at $15. They make up for it with the beers. My Wynwood IPA (a great local beer) was $8. Four of us shared a sticky toffee pudding ($8). DC lamented that her chips weren't quite perfect, but griping about french fries (excuse my language) doesn't do much for me. Good service. Fairly small space, so when this gets discovered by those looking for reasonable-priced dining options in Coral Gables, I'll bet this will fill up fast.

LUNCH REVIEW! After seeing the pictures of the food I was very excited to come in. The place is a spinoff of a British Pub in coral gables. Note to everyone the lunch menu is basic soup, salad, sandwiches. They do have specials - make sure you ask or check the board. No appetizers, no bread to munch on if your hunger. It's more of an executive lunch. I had the pork sausages sandwich with red cabbage and my mom had the chicken banh mi. The food was very tasty but it did take a while to come out when there was only another table having lunch. I suggested to the waitress they should serve popcorn or pretzels while people wait for their food when they get busy. She completely dismissed the suggestion and said people at lunch don't want it and that they provide lentil chips for dinner. When dessert came around I was waiting for her to go into details of the different desserts and all I got was "the bread pudding is good" and "the chocolate ale is rich". Geez thanks In conclusion, this place has potential with a few changes. I recommend you add a small plate section. It's a great way for people to share and try out more of your cuisine. Second, I highly think your staff needs to be more in tune with your menu and a better explanation of the plates. More enthusiasm since your selling me a sandwich. I am willing to come back for dinner and try the bone marrow and the roasted eggplant.

This is definitely my new favorite gastropub. I was very disappointed when I visited my formally "Local" haunt only to find the the food and service had taken a nose-dive. After lots of inquiring I found my favorite gastropub chef in the Gables (Andrew Gilbert) and it turns out that he opened his own place--THE SEVEN DIALS. The Seven Dials has some of the best food in Coral Gables and certainly the best craft beer around. This place is very small and quaint but has a sweet amount of charm. Very low-key. The service was quite good and as long as Chef Andrew Gilbert is in charge, this place will remain at the top of my list for good Gables eats and brews. Special shout out to Hugo Perez in the kitchen who also contributes magnificently to the meals. A+ for The Seven Dials. Favorite Beer is the Kentucky Bourbon Ale with a Seven Dials Burger.

Our first time a week or so ago we had the jerk chicken and blue cheese burger, both were delicious. Really nice selection of beer both on draft and bottled. Tonight it is fish & chips, local romaine & arugula Caesar salad with hen of the wood mushrooms and a Brie burger. My girlfriend and I share everything. Very laid back atmosphere and definitely worth visiting! My new favorite restaurant.

The bone marrow is unbelievably tasty for an appetizer. The duck confit with mashed potatoes was the best I've had in a long time locally. We also got the fish and chips that was so flaky and tender inside! There are amazing beers and the sticky toffee cake ending the evening perfectly!

My family and I came here for the first time for our final meal of 2014. We were super satisfied and happy with the choice. This place is very special to begin with the ambiance us very cozy and they play great pub music. The food is delicious... Really delicious. We started with two of the appetizer specials. We had the terriaki glazed lamb ribs and the brie pot with cranberry. Both were amazing. Then for the meals:we ordered the fish and chips, the proper sausage, the burger a ND the chicken Kiev. All were so good. I tried them all. My favorite was the proper sausage. It was delectable. For dessert we had the chocolate ale cake and the bread pudding. The chocolate cake was good but the bread pudding was amazing. We had such a great time and the service was awesome. I only wonder how it was not packed. I don't think this secret will last too long. The prices are also extremely reasonable.

I had the burger that was perfectly cooked and juicy. My friend had the fish and chips and she loved it. My first trip to London was in 1998. At the time I was a broke college student and all I could afford was fish and chip. Albeit a rather simple dish, I came to have an appreciation for it and thus the evolution of British Cuisine. I have been to England a few times since and I must say I was skeptical when I heard of a British pub in of all places Miami. Miami has had its share of disappointments when it comes to restaurants billing themselves as authentic representations of foreign cuisine. All that said, The Seven Dials delivers in more ways than one We have been to The Seven Dials a few times. Besides having undoubtedly the best Fish and Chip in Miami, other standard dishes take us on a trip over the pond. Make note the specials may be the way to go as they are not always on the menu. Their charcuterie plate is complete with the right condiment to match. The duck jerky is made in house and it is to die for. The foie gras torchon is a healthy size and extremely tasty. Among the specials to note are the pork chop. It is cooked perfectly with a jus and vegetables to match. Today I had the lamb shank with the root vegetables and it delivered. I gave a small bite to most at the table and it was a hit. I barely wanted to share and they barely wanted to let go of my dish. My mother who is not an easy eater loved their steamed salmon. Desserts were as good as always. I had the Sticky Toffee Cake and my brother had the chocolate cake. We were disappointed the bread pudding was not available, but having tried it before I can tell you it is worth the trip down to this restaurant. All in all, Andy, Chef Owner, has a gem here. The Seven Dials is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in Miami. I would recommend it without hesitation.

We really enjoyed this little place. It's new and has a simple but creative menu. Everything we ordered was very well prepared and tasty from heirloom tomato salad to the duck confit and mashed potatoes with roasted grapes. My wife had roasted bone marrow and tomato soup. Bread pudding and English tea ice cream for dessert was very good too. The servers were attentive and pleasant and we spoke with the owner on the way out. He's in a tough location but I have no doubt fellow yelpers will find him. Nice job all around.

Eggplant appetizer on rye is eggcellent. Bread pudding with bruleed sugar is terrific. Fish and chips with perfectly battered corvina is solid. We'd come back - next time we'll make reservations. Yum! The menu is small, but the specials are always interesting. The food is fresh, delish and artfully prepared. The chicken is incredibly flavorful as is the pasta special that is made with marmite. The place is small and comfortable- very welcoming. currently- only beer and wine - and the selections are a little odd and not great. That is my only gripe. The service is friendly and efficient with the owner chef and his wife working front and center. It is really nice to see a truly local place with such good food.

The short version is that this may be a nice restaurant for the average person but if you have allergies or any dietary concerns I would stay away. This is the long version for those interested: We are always interested in independent restaurants and try and support them, especially if they espouse local products. The problem is that albeit the product that this restaurant serves is decent, you don't know what you are being served and there are very limited options for non meat eaters. The staff is not well trained and has no idea what is in the food. Even those cooking in the kitchen do not know what the ingredients are and lie to you when they do not know. I have many allergies and we went there several time and every time I got sick afterward despite my asking for ingredients. The last time we went I specifically asked if the sausage they serve -from Proper Sausage in Miami, had gluten. The owner chef was not there then and the waiter went to the kitchen came back and told me the sausage had not gluten. In the meanwhile I had called the owner of Proper Sausage and he told me that all but two of his sausages had gluten -and they were not the ones served at the Seven Dials. Even after that I would have not written a poor review though as I know these can seriously affect a business. I message the owner in Facebook and left him what I thought was a supportive message. But after more than two month that message has gone answered. So if you have allergies or like to know the exact ingredients in your food: I would not recommend you visit this restaurant. I consider restaurants that do not take allergies seriously a health hazard. If you lean towards veggies or going out with vegetarian friends: Again this may not be the restaurant for you. Best. I am also sharing the message I sent the owner on FB. So I am not trying to do this review anonymously. I am hoping this will raise his awareness as to the seriousness of knowing the ingredients in the food and allergies. "Some feedback: We believe in your concept and love your food and really would like you to succeed. In this spirit, I wanted to write with some feedback. No stiff upper lip here IMHO I believe that you can improve the odds of succeeding long term with better training of your staff in general and greater sensitivity to dietary needs and preferences to succeed. Why do I say that? I have recently figured out that I am allergic to gluten after being sick for a long time (I also have other allergies). My experience with the better restaurants is that they are very attentive to such health issues (and liability problems) and will send the chef to the table often time or get a waiter to get detailed information from the chef. Our previous experience was the the waiter (a male waiter that is still working there) has not much understanding and knowledge of the menu. The waitress tonight was more knowledgeable and tried just as hard but the kitchen staff was not very helpful. To give you an example, the answer from the kitchen came back saying that Proper Sausages had no gluten. I had in the meanwhile called the store and the answer was that YES - they all have gluten minus the lamb and chorizo (these give you a simple and tasty gluten free option to carry BTW). I was also offered soy sauce as gluten free -when much soy (except Tamari) has wheat in it. I did not want to spoil my family and friend's fun but before the evening was over my nose was runny and now I have massive tummy pain. The other concern is for vegetarians and vegans that come with us and we are having to drag them over. I am hoping you can finalize a partnership with Verde Garden and start getting some of their veggies. The season has started and they already have lots of fresh local goodies. If you are also interested I can also connect you with an 83 year old farmer that does not spray and sells his avocado and other beautiful produce for a song. I am also happy to provide you with a list of gluten containing products /gluten free products if that helps - but fresh meats, beans, quinoa, millet, rice are simple and obvious choices. Best."
